Pando pioneers turning coffee grounds, tea leaves and sugarcane bagasse into products for daily life, business and culture, protecting the environment and spreading a greener way of living.
Our story
Pando believes business must go hand in hand with social responsibility. Seeing that our coaster of plastic and coffee grounds was not truly green, we paused production in 2021 to focus on research.
Four years later, in 2025, Pando launched a new product made of 60% coffee grounds and 30% bagasse, free of plastic and hot extrusion, for cleaner production and better conditions for our workers.
Millions of coffees are brewed every day. What is left is not waste, but the material for a coaster, a planter, a chair, and a greener future.
Materials
Every colour comes from the material itself, never from paint.
Process
01Coffee grounds, tea leaves and bagasse are gathered from cafés, processors and partner farmers.
02The material is cleaned and dried, keeping its natural colour and grain.
03Mixed at 60% coffee grounds and 30% bagasse with a natural binder, then pressed to shape: no plastic, no hot extrusion.
04Each piece is shaped, engraved and finished by hand, so every one has its own character.
